Who we are
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The following information is collected.
DaftScribe follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and it is a part of hosting services’ analytics.
The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks.
These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, DaftScribe uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited.
Google Double Click DART Cookie
Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Our Advertising Partners
They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalise the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that DaftScribe has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
You have the right to unsubscribe from my newsletter at any time. To do this simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. You also have the option to have your information forgotten and/or deleted by emailing me to request this at firstname.lastname@example.org
I do not sell your information to ANY third party. I also only use your information for the reason you consented to when signing up for my newsletter.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
I use WP Forms lite for my contact form. WP Forms lite does not collect any ‘hidden’ details about users who submit a form (IP address, user agent details etc) and also doesn’t use any cookies. Additionally WP Forms Lite doesn’t track, monitor or collect form entries in any way.
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
DaftScribe does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our site. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms web page.
